Reorder a past delivery
Let people say "order the usual" and get last week's order back in the cart, without Siri ever checking out on its own.
Example template for a hypothetical food delivery app. It is not taken from any shipping app. Rename the tools to match your own App Intents titles.

name: reorder-delivery
description: Reorder food from a past delivery. Use when the user asks to reorder, order again, get the usual, or repeat a previous order from a restaurant. Not for browsing menus or starting a new order from scratch.

# Reorder a Delivery
1. Use the Find Past Orders tool. If the user named a restaurant or a day, pass it along. If they said "the usual", pick the restaurant they ordered from most often in the last month.
2. If more than one order matches, show the matches with their dates and let the user choose. Don't pick for them.
3. Add each item with the Add to Cart tool, keeping the same quantities and options unless the user asks for a change.
4. Use the Show Cart tool and ask the user to confirm before they pay.
## Don't
- Don't place or pay for the order. The user finishes checkout in the app.
- Don't add items that were out of stock last time without saying so.
Or install it into your bundle: npx siriskills add reorder-delivery --bundle MyApp/Skills.skillsbundle

Why this works
The description carries the phrasing. “Reorder”, “order again”, “the usual” and “repeat a previous order” are the words people actually say. Siri reads only the description when deciding whether this skill applies, so every common phrasing has to be there.
The boundary is explicit. “Not for browsing menus” keeps this skill from being picked when someone wants to explore, which a separate skill should handle.
Checkout stays in code, not in the skill. The “Don’t place the order” line is guidance, not enforcement. Apple is clear that skills can’t guarantee deterministic behavior. If paying must never happen through Siri, don’t expose a checkout tool at all, or protect it with an authentication policy.
Adapt it
- Rename the tools to match the titles of your own App Intents.
- If your app has saved favorites, mention the favorites tool in step 1 and say when to prefer it over order history.
